John Heard has performed as bassoon soloist and chamber musician all over the world. He is the founder and bassoonist of the internationally
recognized Miami Wind Quintet, a resident ensemble at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio where he is Professor of Bassoon and Chamber Music.
In this recording, he performs bassoon concertos by Franz Danzi and Johann Baptist Vanhal. The Chamber Orchestra is the Camerata Kiev conducted by
Alexander Ostroski.

Salo was founded as the festival "Incontri in Terra di Sienna" by violinist Ani Kavafian, violinist Barbara Westphal and cellist,
